Glam's Court: Jesse Queen Collection
Hey Glamazonians,
Before I get this review started, let’s get some things clear:
My reviews are ALWAYS for the customer. Regardless of if the product is promotional, sponsored or otherwise.
I’m about learning, growing and educating, through my experiences.
Never did think I’d be writing a review with no actual product, but unfortunately at this time, I don’t have one. This review is based off my experience with Jesse Queen Collection’s customer service and communication… well, their lack there of… So please read this post completely.
No matter what I say, it comes from a place of love and wanting everyone to do better going forward. Now, let’s get into this review.
Here’s the timeline:
On December 2nd, 2021, I placed an order with them for their “Vegan Leather Wide Leg Trousers”, retailing at $150+tax. At the time, the website said they would ship in 1-2 business days. I paid through AfterPay, because even though we bougie, we still love budget friendly options 😆. Quite honestly, I forgot about this purchase— however two weeks later, the next AfterPay payment came, and was paid without a second thought
Then a few days later, it occurred to me that I never received a tracking number for the item. I go on the site to look for either a “FAQ” page or “Order Information” page that could assist me with this situation. Do they have any of that? No. BUT they do have a chat button for patrons to use. I click the chat button and give the information requested only to find out, my order hasn’t even been fulfilled yet! I ask the chat if I could be provided with a timeline and unfortunately, I received an automated reply, “Thank you for your message! We’ll be with you as soon as we can. If you prefer not to wait, we’ll follow up via the contact you provided”.
Now, understanding that it was about 9:30 pm EST, I didn’t expect a response until morning. However, 3 hours later, it was still heavy on my mind, and I decided to shoot them a quick DM on Instagram. Again, I didn’t expect a response right then. My thought was that they’d see it either way and get back to me the next day during business hours, no. biggie.
I wait the next day, nothing.
I wait the following day, nothing.
The following Thursday, I send a follow-up DM, nothing.
About a week in total, and guess what?! NOTHING.
So here I am, December 29, 2021 with no product and no communication regarding what’s happening with my order. At this point, I feel like I’ve gotten scammed and I’m frustrated. I decide to reach out again, but this time, I’m asking to cancel my order and for a refund….. Because nothing is worth this lack of customer service. First, I reach out via email. Nothing. At this point, I’ve exhausted all avenues to reach out to the brand and there’s been no response.
Then I try reaching out to AfterPay, with the hopes they would be able to help. AfterPay gave me a secondary email and a phone number to contact. Due to the time, I held off on calling the phone number, but I did forward my original email to the secondary email.
Still nothing.
I reach out via the chat on the website. nada. Then I remember, the brand tagged their owner, Bianca, on their page and think maybe if I reach out to her directly, I’ll get a response. Nope.
Now it’s the next day. As a customer, I’m at my wits end….. I call the number given to me by AfterPay and NOTHING. I try the website one last time, still nothing. So I deicide to seek advice from a few fellow Tall Girls— One being an influencer, like myself and another who is also a business owner— because I REALLY didn’t want to write a review in this manner and I needed affirmation for my grievances. They both confirmed that my complaints were valid and reasonable.
Thankfully, one of them was able to help me get a direct email address, and the other helped guide me to this review. My last step was forwarding my email yet again….. but have I gotten a response (say it with me!) NOPE!
The result of this LONG review is that the court cannot in good faith rule in favor of Jesse Queen Collection. I feel bad for saying that, because although the products look really nice, they are NOT worth the headache of bad customer service.
To be fair, I would’ve given this brand the benefit of the doubt if there was full transparency on their processing and handling time (particularly and especially since it’s the holiday season), but the reality, at the time on this writing, is that there wasn’t.
So to my Glamazonians, shop at your own risk. To Bianca and Jesse Queen Collection, please take this review as constructive feedback, because customer service can make or break a business and communication is KEY!
Your Tall and Bougie Big Sis,
Solange “The Glamazon”
UPDATE: Bianca’s mom reached out to me and gave a refund. She also explained that, unfortunately, Jesse Queen Collection is unable to fulfill any orders at this time. (1/1/2022)
