Slay or Stay: Deciem Review
Hey Glamazonians,
Welcome to SLAY or STAY where I review different products and/or brands in different areas (makeup, skin care, even fashion) and let y'all know if it SLAYS or if it can STAY where it came from. Up first is DECIEM, so keep reading to see what I think.
A new (to me) beauty brand called DECIEM popped up on my radar and I thought I would do a little review on them for you guys. I picked up a couple products from my local DECIEM store on Court Street in Brooklyn to review. Although I feel like their foundation shade range could use a little work on the colors for my melanin infused Glamazonians, they do have a great selection of products to choose from in regards to skin care. They have a pretty wide price range with items as low as $6.00 and items as high as $98.00, which I think is great because there is something for you whether your budget is more drugstore or or if you have a bit more to splurge with.

I was initially excited to pick up and try out one of their two foundations but they didn't have a shade for me. To be honest, its a better range than Tarte's recent foundation launch, however I think there could be more shades in between what they already have. So for now that's a STAY (just until they add more shades). But moving onto the items I did get to pick up and try out for the past two weeks.
Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA
$8.90
I have dark spots on my face due to hyper-pigmentation from popping my white and black heads (I know I'm terrible), so I wanted to see if this would help to lighten those spots. I've been using this everyday for the past two weeks and when I say this is AMAZING, I mean it. Nothing has given me more noticeable results in lightening my dark spots in such a short amount time frame and I am pleased. If you have dark spots and want something to help get rid of them, I would say give this a try (especially for the price, I mean under $10 COME ON!) I'm going to need a stash of this stuff because my skin scars so easily, I'll need this for my entire body. This product is definitely a SLAY!
Marine Hyaluronics
$6.80
I have also have pretty normal skin, but in the colder months it start to feel more on the dry side, which means for me I pile on any and everything to add moisture. But, that leaves me skin feeling a bit greasy. I added this into my routine because he cashier at my local store said it was good and recommended it because it was lightweight, and I couldn't agree more. Although I wish he warned me about the smell because honestly it kinda smells like feet to me. BUT! the smell goes away after I put on my moisturizer and it works pretty well, so I can get past it. Plus when I've worn this with make-up on top I noticed that I don't get as oily in my T-zone area (and remember I have normal skin so I don't get extremely oily to begin with) So all in all, this gets a SLAY too, because I like that it keeps my skin hydrated, but it's not heavy and it controls what little oil I do get.
So, in review so far I do like what this brand has to offer. Like I said about the foundation shade range, DECIEM, you could add some in between shades, so that can STAY. As for the skin care products I tried, y'all SLAY! So I'm excited to try out more of your products (and I'll be waiting to see if you expand on your shade range)!
Glamazonians,I'd LOVE to hear from you! If you have tried this brand before, what do you recommend and why? Also, please let me know what other product you want me to review for y'all!
Keep calm and GLAM on 🤗😘,
The Glamazon
