Slay or Stay: Unicorn Snot
Hey Glamazonians!
I know it's been a little while, but I'm back with a review on this pretty interesting sunscreen.
If you know me personally, you know if Unicorns were a real thing, I'd definitely be one, but unfortunately they aren't so I have to settle for Unicorn Snot. I found this product while scrolling through insta and as soon as I saw the name I was hooked and had to look more into it. After finding out that it was sunscreen (wait for it!) WITH GLITTER, my debt card was in my hand soooooooo fast I almost thought I was Dash from The Incredibles lol. So now here we are, I've had some opportunities to test it out and use it, and here is my review.
First, lets talk about ordering and shipping. The website was actually pretty easy to get to, i just typed Unicorn Snot into google and it was the first website that came up. Once on the site the Glitter Sunscreen was one of the first options you see. Once you get to the sunscreen page you have three different glitter options, gold, green, and pink. (I chose gold because i thought it would look best with my skin tone, tbh). They are all Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and are 5 FL OZ. You can choose to buy individual tubes for $19.99 or you can get a bundle for about $54.99. Shipping cost for me was about $5 and tax was about $2. After being shipped it actually got to me very quickly, like 2-3 days if I remember correctly.
Now, for what y'all came here for, the review. It comes out of the tube like a lotion and the first time i used it, I was actually really disappointed. I deposited the product directly from the tube to my body. After rubbing the sunscreen onto my body, there was absolutely no glitter anywhere I put the sunscreen. ALL THE GLITTER STAYED ON MY HANDS! and when I rubbed my hands on my body with hopes of transferring the glitter, nothing happened until I rubbed my hands on my neck. Unfortunately I was not thinking and did not get any pictures of this attempts, sorry. But form next couple attempts I put the lotion in my hands, rubbed them together and then rubbed my hands on my body and that worked MUCH better. However, after the glitter started to wear off shortly after.
So, while I LOVE the concept of this product. My conclusion is that you should probably save your money. It's nice as a regular sunscreen, but I can get a regular sunscreen anywhere (and probably for half the price). I spent my coin to be protected from the sun AND be everything that glitters gold. So for me, it's not really worth the $20+ shipping and tax. I'll be staying away from sneezing unicorns for a little while.
But, just because it doesn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't work for you. So if you want to try it out for yourself, click here.
Keep calm and GLAM on 🤗😘,
The Glamazon
