Happy Monday y’all!!! Today let’s talk Black Women in luxury! It’s honestly been a recurring topic recently. I also want to thank @naturallyKam for inspiring me to talk about it more on my page and blog. I 100% agree with them on bringing more visibility to Black Women in luxury. I think it’s really important to talk about this because often times Black Women are scrutinized for wanting to live a luxe or high quality lifestyle. Honestly, this narrative needs to be changed. We should want and expect quality in our lives. We should expose our children the same things because they can’t be what they can’t see. So this is your sign to be unapologetic about your standards, enjoy your nice things, and don’t accept anything less! 

Now, don’t get this twisted and use this as an excuse to frivolously consume every luxury thing and put yourself into debt. Hear me when I say, just because something is EXPENSIVE DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN ITS QUALITY. When it comes to fashion, focus on buying good pieces that will stand the test of time (and take care of them). Sometimes that will mean investing a bit more into something, other times you will be able to find good quality things without the hefty price tag.
