Tall Girl Hacks: The OTK Boot
Hey Sis!
I know y’all see the title and are a little confused, just hear me out for a second. Yes, Spring is upon us and the weather is getting warmer, but that also means that clothing is getting shorter, right?! And for us Tall women, most clothing items are already short, that means shorts, skirt and mini dresses will look shorter by comparison on our long limbs. While short is a vibe, it’s not always the look I want to go for. But what can we do?! Well, this is where the OTK boots come in.
My absolute favorite hack for when shorts, skirts or dresses look extremely short is to add a pair of OTK boots. They are absolutely PERFECT! OTK boots really compliment longer legs. Almost like they were made just for us tall women. The fact that they come up over our knees and we still have some space between the top of the boot and the hemline of our clothes accentuates the length of our legs and makes us look even taller (which I personally love!).
I also tend to pair them with shorter hemlines because it adds a little bit of coverage when I feel that something is too short. Basically, it balances out the look in a chic and classic way. Lastly, I love them because the days might be warmer, but the nights can get pretty cold, so its a sure fire way to keep myself warm and continue to look cute (especially when paired with a longer jacket or trench coat). An added bonus is that you get more bang for your buck because you now have 3 seasons to wear them instead of just 2.
My favorite OTK boots are from Stuart Weitzman HiLine boots and Aldo, but we’ll talk about why in another post.
Your Tall and Bougie Big Sis,
